My mama reared me on old country and Jesus. Wise in her homemade ways, I watched her weather life with care. After she passed away, I could hear her voice - singing raw, imparting wisdom - guiding and keeping me. These songs were written in my rock-bottom years. Mama always said a sad song made her feel better. Writing these songs with a classic country sound kept her close and helped me heal.
